In Paris in 1942 the master gunner of
this Flakvierling (4 barrelled 20 mm. anti-aircraft gun, part of
Generalfeldmarschall SperleÕs 3rd Airfleet) who is scanning the sky above
the Senate is himself kept under observation by the artist, from a nearby
position. Meanwhile a Soviet spy plane from Angola circles above his gun
emplacement, photographing the Jardin du Luxembourg with the aid of a
hippopotamus tooth. A total of 42 aircraft photographs.
